Announcing paid subscriptions for Proof of Concept
A sneak peak at (hopefully) exciting changes to come
Wait, this isn’t Sunday. Why am I getting a Proof of Concept email on Friday the 13th? 😱
I’m excited to share that Proof of Concept now has a paid subscription offering! TLDR: Nothing changes in your experience of receiving weekly emails.
After much consideration and advice from readers, I felt it was the right time to launch this. So, why do this? I’m a big believer that incentives can motivate and multiply your creativity, and paid subscriptions offer that incentive for to create value for you.
Paid subscription details
Here are details of what perks paid subscribers get access to:
Full archive: With 100+ issues of Proof of Concept, I’d like to offer the archives and access to the vault of thoughts.
Quarterly paid subscriber posts
Pro tip: If you have an education budget from your employer, this is a great way to get a paid subscription.
Anti-goals
Having anti-goals helps you focus. Here’s what not to expect in the future:
Though I find a sense of community with each of you weekly, this will not be a robust community with a private Slack/Discord. It’s A LOT of work to run a community well and I’m committed to being a full-time operator at work
Become a “creator.” My focus is making tools and investing in creators and happen to love the medium of writing. Don’t expect a YouTube channel from me any time soon!
No sponsorships. One of the motivators of a paid offering is to make sure Proof of Concept remains ad free and organic in growth.
The archive access for paid subscribers will go in effect on January 22, 2023 (Issue 127). I’m offering a discount on the annual subscription until then.
I’m excited to work on an incentive-based publication. Regardless what you decide, I’ll see you weekly and appreciate your support!
